Dr. Gregory Bonaiuto graduated from Yale, earned his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and completed his internship in general surgery and residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the UConn Health Center. He has particular interest and expertise in sinus surgery, allergy, pediatrics, and head and neck surgery. A member of the faculty at the UConn School of Medicine, he received the Gerald Leonard, MD Award for Excellence in Resident Teaching and Advocacy.
While low-key about himself, he feels honored that so many physicians in the community have recommended him. “I pride myself on taking time with my patients, being available, and trying to listen to them,” he says. “Some patients require more time, and I try to accommodate this.” About 30 percent of his patients are children. In practice with six other otolaryngologists, he says his near-daily contact with residents is “not only rewarding but promotes continuous learning, and keeping abreast of the latest techniques.”
My daughter was scheduled to see Dr. Bonaiuto on December 8th (at least that is what our card said) it turns out the appointment was really January 8th. My daughter had another ear infection and may have lost a tube in her left ear. Despite not seeing patients late on Fridays Dr. Bonaiuto honored what my card said and saw my daughter. He was so nice and didn’t rush the visit. We have never had a bad experience here and would recommend Dr. Bonaiuto
