Snoring is a very common sleep disorder that many people experience, though it’s more prevalent in men and in overweight individuals. The occasional nights of snoring are more likely just a nuisance than a cause for alarm, but regular or nightly snoring often disrupts the sleep patterns of a patient, not to mention the snorer’s bed partner.
Treatment of Snoring
A more serious cause of snoring is known as obstructive sleep apnea. Diagnosing this requires an evaluation from one of our sleep experts. Once we rule out any more serious medical conditions, we may recommend a few possible treatments, including changes in lifestyle, laser-assisted uvula palatoplasty (LAUP), or pillar implants.
